At the Council meeting on 28 July, the council agreed to ‘make’ the Yateley, Darby Green and Frogmore Neighbourhood Plan. The following statement is an extract from the Decision Statement:
“At its meeting on 28 July 2022 the Council decided to ‘make’ the Yateley, Darby Green and Frogmore Neighbourhood Plan 2016-2032. It took the view that to do so would not breach, or otherwise be incompatible with, any retained EU obligation or any of the Convention rights (within the meaning of the Human Rights Act 1998).”

The journey to create a Neighbourhood plan for the Yateley Parish started way back in 2018 and has been developed by a group of volunteers.
Thanks go out to all those volunteers, as well as everyone who participated in the public consultations and voted in the referendum. Thanks also to consultants KB Planning who provided their expertise to advise on the development of the Plan.
Thanks especially to the chair of the Steering Group, Richard Quarterman and vice chair Rayner Mayer, who have led the group and produced a plan, of which the Independent Examiner said:
“The Plan is an exceptionally good example of a Neighbourhood Plan. It is beautifully written and presented. It includes a variety of policies and seeks to bring forward positive and sustainable development in the neighbourhood area. It adds value to the policies in the adopted Local Plan.”
The Neighbourhood Plan now remains in force until at least 2032, when it will be reviewed.
